School & Community Collaboration
Helping Skills Carry Into Everyday Life
Children use their skills in many places — at home, in school, with peers, and in the community. That is why collaboration is an important part of the care we provide.
We work with families, schools, pediatric providers, and community partners to support consistency and help children build skills that carry into everyday life.

Collaboration May Include

Supporting caregiver advocacy and communication
Collaborative Support
Collaboration helps children build and use skills across everyday environments. This may include supporting school participation, communication, routines, and classroom engagement, as well as skills used during community activities, appointments, and daily transitions. With appropriate consent, Tila Promise may coordinate with teachers, healthcare providers, and other members of a child’s care team to promote consistency and support skill use across settings.

Support Across Environments
The goal is not to make every setting identical.
Collaboration helps identify which strategies are useful, how expectations may differ between environments, and how the child can receive consistent support while building flexibility and independence.
Children often make stronger progress when the important adults and professionals in their lives can communicate, coordinate, and support shared goals.
FAQs
Does Tila Promise Attend School Meetings
Participation depends on the child’s treatment plan, family consent, provider availability, funding, and the purpose of the meeting.
Can you communicate with my child's other providers?
Communication may be possible after the appropriate consent and information-release forms are completed.
Is School Support the Same as Special Education Services
No. Tila Promise may collaborate with school teams, but the school district remains responsible for educational evaluations, IEP services, and the child's educational program.
What kinds of skills can be supported across settings?
Collaboration may support communication, routines, transitions, social participation, independence, coping skills, classroom readiness, and community participation.
How do families request collaboration?
Families can contact the Tila Promise team to discuss the need for school, provider, or community collaboration. The team will review what is appropriate based on consent, clinical needs, and service availability.
